COVID-19 Crisis Update:

One Dalkeith have put together a list of local businesses (some offering home deliveries) in the local area that are still trading during this very difficult time for our community.  Follow the link below to see this regularly updated list:

LOCAL BUSINESSES IN THE DALKEITH AREA

OUR COMMUNITY FACILITY

One Dalkeith's use of 21 Eskdaill Court as a "pop-up" community facility during 2019 attracted a lot of support.  The clear message from this trial-run was an ongoing desire for more of these activities with a community-run home in the town centre. One Dalkeith trustees have therefore been developing a business plan for a long-term solution and exploring opportunities to fund upgrades such as accessible toilets.  Permission has also now been secured to formally change the use of the building, as you may have seen in the local press.

CONTRACTS

Dalkeith Loves Local

One Dalkeith is partnering with Business Gateway, Midlothian Council and others to launch a Dalkeith Loves Local campaign.  In keeping with the spirit of this, we are looking to appoint local self-employed people and small businesses to manage and promote the project itself, in a paid capacity.

Business Manager for Community Facility

One Dalkeith is looking for someone to initiate and establish the business management of 21 Eskdaill Court as a community facility in 2021.  A more detailed description is available here.

If you have the skills to help with either of the the above, we would love to hear from you. Please send your expressions of interest to chair@onedalkeith.info
